Bauhaus Typography at 100 ExhibitionJune 11, 2024 – April 26, 2025

This exhibition, a collaboration with the San Francisco-based Letterform Archive, is located at the Resnick Center for Herbert Bayer Studies. It features works celebrating the 100th anniversary of Bauhaus typography, including pieces by Herbert Bayer and other Bauhaus icons​.

Ice Age Discovery Talk and Tour: – June 21, 2024 – September 27, 2024

Every Friday at 3:30 PM, you can learn about Snowmass’ prehistoric past. Gather at the Limelight Snowmass lobby to dive into the world of mammoths, mastodons, and other extraordinary creatures that roamed these lands many thousands of years ago. Marvel at replicas of their bones, teeth, and tusks, then embark on an Ice Age Passport Walk to admire art created around this incredible fossil find. Wrap up the adventure with an Ice Age prize! Perfect for all ages.

New summer programs at the Aspen Center for Environmental Studies (ACES) in 2024

Kanders Family Science Teaching LabInteractive exhibit at the Hallam Lake campus that features:

  • educational murals
  • a lightbox to examine local plants and animals
  • and special discussions by on-site naturalists.

The lab’s goal is to encourage visitors of all ages to explore the natural world, and it will include a “climbing tree” feature in the fall​​.

Birding Outings: New birding programs include private birding outings led by Rebecca Weiss, ACES’ bird guide, and a series of Birding By Habitat sessions exploring different Roaring Fork Valley habitats. Specific dates and locations vary throughout the summer​​.

New Down Valley Attractions 

Mineral Pools at the Glenwood Hot Springs Resort: Soak in five new mineral-rich pools sourced from an on-site spring. Relax in the outdoor lounging area with shade and a cozy fireplace.
