Our Guide to Eating Your Way Through Aspen:

There is no doubt that Aspen has always been at the forefront of elite culinary offerings, and classics such as Chef’s Club and Nobu Matsuhisa have been around since what seems like the beginning of time.  However, in a town as seasonal as Aspen a restaurant turnover rate is quite inevitable. To help you stay current with the Aspen hot spots, we have created a definitive guide to dining in Aspen this Winter, featuring the best of the new and the best of the old.

Noteworthy Restaurants

Our favorite new offerings that have already made waves in the Aspen community

7908 Aspen ($$$)

7908 Restaurant in Aspen

7908 Aspen Supper Club

“Altitude is Everything”

If you’ve been having trouble getting a reservation at 7908 Aspen, we are not surprised. This brand new Super Club has been at the forefront of the culinary and nightlife scene since it opened its doors in July. 7908 Aspen offers savory American Cuisine in the earlier hours, and then slowly progresses into a club like scene in the later hours as in-house DJ, Kid Kamillion, begins his set. This place truly encompasses the idea of a Super Club, and has been making waves in the Aspen community as the hottest new restaurant and club scene.

TO EAT: Try the renowned fried chicken, featuring a unique chili honey glaze, or for those who prefer to splurge, the $120 Aspen Nachos with caviar

TO DRINK: Try the Femme Fatale or the in-house Moscow Mule, which features tiki bitters, giving the classic drink a unique kick

Clark’s Oyster Bar ($$$)

Clark's Oyster Bar Aspen Restaurant

Clark’s Oyster Bar

In the location of the beloved Little Annie’s comes Aspen, Colorado’s hottest new Oyster Bar, Clark’s. Originally based in Austin, Texas, the Aspen location of Clark’s officially opened its doors in June and has been the talk of the town ever since. Clark’s Oyster Bar offers a world-class oyster and caviar selection, an extensive raw bar, delicious lobster rolls, and everything you could want in New England styled seafood. In addition to its refined menu, Clark’s has created a bustling bar scene that is hopping into the later hours of the night. We certainly recommend making reservations for this new hotspot as early as possible, as the seating is limited and spaces seem to fill up quickly.

TO EAT: We recommend trying a few of their different East and West Coast oysters, in addition to their world-renowned lobster roll

TO DRINK: Ask your server about their cocktail of the day, or try their classic Velvet Spritz

Jing ($$$)

Jing Aspen Restaurant

Jing Aspen

Aspen might not need another Sushi restaurant, but it surely needs Jing. This brand new Asian Fusion styled restaurant located right next to Acquolina on main street features exceptional cuisine blending older Asian traditional dishes with more contemporary techniques. Unlike its rival Matsuhisa, Jing offers a blend of both traditional rolls and the complex American rolls that we all admittedly love to order. Jing offers both lunch and dinner and features a reasonably priced bar menu. Jing has certainly become a new hot spot in town for sushi and Asian-fusion lovers, and their delectable cuisine and fun atmosphere will make you want to come back for some more.

TO EAT: Try the unique Surf & Turf Roll featuring lobster, Kobe beef, mango and caviar. For an even more unique option try the Sushi Pizza located on the bar menu

TO DRINK: Try the Sake Tini which is a unique blend of Sake and Absolut Vodka
