The event runs from 5:00 PM to 7:30 PM at Elk Camp on select dates between December 26th and March 20th. Reservations are required and likely to sell out!

Aspen celebrates several festive tree lighting ceremonies each year, including “The Little Nell’s Tree Lighting Ceremony, the St. Regis Aspen Resort’s Tree Lighting Ritual, and the Sardy House Tree Lighting:
The Little Nell’s Tree Lighting Ceremony
This beloved community tradition takes place on December 7, 2025, from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM, with the tree lighting ceremony at 5:30 PM. The event transforms The Little Nell’s courtyard into a magical winter wonderland featuring complimentary hot cocoa, warm apple cider, and holiday caroling by the Aspen High School choir, all in partnership with the Aspen Animal Shelter and The Buddy Program, as highlighted in Aspen Times’ holiday coverage.
The St. Regis Aspen Resort’s Tree Lighting Tradition
Featuring a grand 30-foot Christmas tree, live music, champagne, and a festive atmosphere, this ceremony takes place on December 6, 2025, from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM and offers a cheerful, seasonal experience with additional holiday entertainment, including complimentary hot cocoa, holiday treats, a handcrafted gingerbread house, and performances by winter ballerinas.
Sardy House Tree Lighting
The 40th Annual Sardy House Tree Lighting took place on Sunday, December 7, 2025, from 6:00 PM to 7:00 PM. As always, the event was held in front of the Sardy House, providing a charming setting to embrace the festive spirit of the season.
